Neighborhood Farm Initiative

We need interns & volunteers!

Internships Available
America the Beautiful Fund and the Neighborhood Farming Initiave are offering a joint internship for those who want to gain hands-on experience in the field (literally) and in the non-profit office! Your time will be split between duties at ABF (which will include basic office tasks, reviewing seed grant requests, as well as grant research and writing) and duties at NFI (which will be learning hands-in-the-dirt organic vegetable growing and community development skills). Get the best of both worlds with a range of local experiences!!

Compensation: You can earn school credit for your internship! You will also have the opportunity to participate in NFI's hands-on organic vegetable gardening class free of charge.

Time Commitment: A commitment of 5-10 hours per week at ABF's downtown office (M-F, times flexible) and a commitment of 5-10 hours per week at the NFI garden site are required. Flexible start/end dates.

Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter to NeighborhoodFarm@gmail.com.

Rolling deadline for submission.

Volunteers Needed
If you are able to commit occasional half-days to working in the garden, please be in touch! Our large workdays will be either Saturdays or Sundays, but weekday opportunities also exist. This will be an ongoing call from March til November.

Please email Jamie (NFI's volunteer coordinator) at Neighborhoodfarm@gmail.com for more info or to get on our email list and be invited to future workdays!
